FROM THE PASTOR'S DESK

DEAR FRIENDS,

Nothing's as big as a fisherman's tale right?! Jesus said in Matthew 4:19, "...follow me and I will make you fishers of men."

We're on a mission this summer to do some fishing. We don't have a fancy boat, expensive equipment or a big crew, but we have the right bait - the love of Jesus! Won't you consider fishing with us? We are making a concerted effort to return to the basics of our faith. We share God's Word in an easy and enjoyable way for people of all ages to understand as we commit to standing with you in your needs.

If you have already sent your gift for the work of our ministry, we thank you. If not, please remember us this month with a tax-deductible gift of support to the work of our ministry. Also, please consider becoming a Covenant Partner with us and help us fulfill the call that God has placed on our hearts to serve Him through His people.

May God richly bless you and your family!

In His Service,

- Pastor Tony Cubello -

SCRIPTURE VERSE

"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. Dear friends, I urge you, as foreigners and exiles, to abstain from sinful desires, which wage war against your soul. Live such good lives among the pagans that, though
they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify
God on the day he visits us."

Ephesians 4:1-12

Grace: More Than We Deserve, Greater Than We Imagine
By Max Lucado

As believers in Christ, we claim to understand grace. From Sunday
school to adulthood we've been taught that we're saved by grace. We
know the Bible verses and the sinner's prayer, but have we really taken
hold of it? Or rather, has it taken hold of us? Grace isn't a nice idea. It's
not a song lyric, or a warm, fuzzy feeling. It's the radical life of Christ lived
in you. Grace gives you the freedom to love the unlovable, and forgive the
unforgivable, because you know how much you're loved, and know how much you've been forgiven. In Grace: More Than We Deserve, Greater Than We Imagine, Max Lucado calls readers back to consider the abundant richness of God's offer. It's an offer to live a changed life, a call to genuine transformation and the courage to see it through. Don't let grace pass you by. When you let it in, it will rock your world, and change your heart.
