FROM THE PASTOR'S DESK

DEAR FRIENDS...

F.E.A.R.! Just another four letter word that only has the power you give it! In today's world, fear is one of the main things that keep people separated from God. Fear is a powerful tactic of the devil to get you to believe that God is not who He says He is and cannot do what He says He can do. And your acceptance of fear in your life tells God you don't trust Him for your needs.

So it doesn't matter if you lost your home, lost your job, lost your kids, lost your health or lost your mind. God is still on the throne, He knows what's happening in the world and He cares about you and me. We serve a God of power and love. Give Him your fear and replace it with another four letter word...L.O.V.E.!

Please, remember us this month with a tax-deductible gift of support to the work of our ministry. Also, please consider becoming a Covenant Partner with us and help us fulfill the call that God has placed on our hearts to serve Him through His people.

If you are already supporting us, we sincerely thank you. If not, we look forward to hearing from you this month. May God continue to richly bless your life!

SCRIPTURE VERSE

"A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life...She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: "Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all." Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring praise at the city gate."

Proverbs 31:10-12 and 25-31

Soul Detox: Clean Living in a Contaminated World
By Craig Groeschel

As believers we are called to be in the world, but not conformed to its
desires or values. This can be more difficult than we think. More often
than not we feel compromised by ungodly influences and emotions like
anger, envy, fear, and unforgiveness leak into our hearts and minds.
When these feelings take up residence, like a musty house, our souls
need a thorough spring cleaning. Soul Detox by Craig Groeschel explores how we can overcome the emotional and spiritual toxins that assault us daily. With grace and insight you'll be challenged to examine areas of complacency and bring them into the light of God's holiness. Learn how to be free from toxic emotions, attitudes, and behaviors, and discover the freedom of choosing to live with the mind of Christ.

We are beginning a summer fundraiser to purchase a Portable Baptistry for our church.
We believe that Baptism is a vital part of church worship and would be a blessing not
only to those who are making their commitment to follow Jesus in Water Baptism,
but to those who witness it. And church is where it should be!

We will need to raise $2,500.00 to purchase what we need.
We thank you for your love and support for the work of our church.

A NIGHT WITH CASTING CROWNS
