FROM THE PASTOR'S DESK

DEAR FRIENDS...

This coming New Year has many people believing that this year will be the beginning of the end! But we, as God's people, know better. We know that God is already in our future and in Him we have absolutely nothing to fear. "No one knows the day or the hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." (Matthew 24:36). In these words of Scripture, our hope and our future truly lie with God.

The Branch of Life Christian Fellowship is committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus and living out our faith in this world on a daily basis. In order for us to continue to reach our community with the love and hope of Christ, we need Covenant Partners, like you. What is a Covenant Partner? They are people who believe and support the work of our ministry for the Lord and want to help us make a difference.

Please consider becoming a Covenant Partner with us. We need your love, your prayers and your tax-deductible, financial support, on a monthly basis. Help us fulfill the call that God has placed on our hearts for his people, especially those who are lost with no hope.

If you are already supporting us, we sincerely thank you. If not, we look forward to hearing from you this month. May God continue to richly bless your life!

SCRIPTURE VERSE

"Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace."

Romans 6:12-14

BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS

Courageous
By Randy Alcorn, Alex Kendrick & Stephen Kendrick

As law enforcement officers, Adam Mitchell, Nathan Hayes, and their
partners willingly stand up to the worst the world can offer. Yet at the end
of the day, they face a challenge that none of them are truly prepared to
tackle: fatherhood. While they consistently give their best on the job, good
enough seems to be all they can muster as dads. But they’re quickly dis-
covering that their standard is missing the mark. They know that God desires to turn the hearts of fathers to their children, but their children are beginning to drift farther and farther away from them. Will they be able to find a way to serve and protect those who are most dear to them? When tragedy hits home, these men are left wrestling with their hopes, their fears, their faith, and their fathering. Can a newfound urgency help these dads draw closer to God... and to their children?
